About

Architectural Staff Designer with 4 years of professional experience in Municipal, Commercial, Office, Retail, Industrial, Interiors, and Residential design.

Nick is a native to the Chicago land area. In 2008, he received his Masters in Architecture from the University of Detroit Mercy in Detroit, Michigan. While at UDM, under the tutelage of David Jaeger, from Harley Ellis Devereaux - Detroit, his concentration was in Healthcare Design. In pursuit of his Masters Degree, influenced by his passion for improv comedy, his thesis project, "The Vitality of the Performing Arts", explored the idea that grass-roots theater and art based development could act as a catalyst to help revitalize the blighted city of Detroit.

After graduation, Nick joined the design team at SRBL Architects in Deerfield, IL. While there he developed a strong knowledge for Municipal building types. He has worked on various Police and Fire Stations as well as a number of Village Hall, Park District, Library and Public Works projects in the Chicago suburbs. Nick has over 4 years of cumulative professional experience in the profession of architecture (including 3 separate and very different four-month long summer internships). From this experience, Nick has completed his IDP and is currently completing his 7 architectural licensing exams. He is a natural critical thinker and is dedicated to finding the best solutions to every problem. His commitment to succeeding with whatever he puts his mind to constantly shows through in his quality of work and in his life.

Outside of the office, Nick is a proud graduate of the Second City Chicago Improv Conservatory Program. When he can, he still plays with his Detroit-based college band and music remains an important part of his life. He regularly volunteers his time helping organizations like Architecture for Humanity, Habitat for Humanity, AIA-NEI & St. Alphonsus Liguori Parish with giving back to the community.
